These companies in Salzburg have lots of IT know-how

What do Red Bull, PALFINGER and Porsche Holding have in common? Headquarters in Salzburg. Does that surprise you? Many other large companies are based here – world market leaders, trading groups and global industrial companies.

IT may not necessarily be their core business, but digitisation is permeating every area, so it is still a major focus. These companies are known for innovative digital solutions and their application of the latest technologies. So if you want to be at the forefront of the digital future in a successful international company, this is the place for you!

Flexible working time models, remote working options and training and development opportunities – these companies offer their employees all of this and more. But what else distinguishes them as employers, and what opportunities there are for IT employees, are what we will present to you here.

Here are a few of the big players in Salzburg:

Porsche Holding

Headquarters: City of Salzburg
Company size: 34,000 employees worldwide

Porsche is certainly a company everyone has heard of! But did you know that Porsche Holding has its corporate headquarters in Salzburg? Porsche Holding imports and sells the brands of the VW Group, such as Audi, Seat and Porsche. They also offer maintenance and financial services in the automotive sector and develop their own IT systems at Porsche Informatik – and this is where things get interesting for IT experts! Whether internships, jobs for students, trainee programs or direct entry, there are many opportunities and areas open to IT talents.

But they also have a lot to offer in other respects: There is a company daycare for the children of employees. This additionally promotes compatibility between work and family. A restaurant with freshly cooked menus every day provides for physical well-being, along with sports options like yoga and CrossHIIT. Sponsored language courses benefit international colleagues.
