The Salzburg Innovation Award will launch for the first time in 2026. Presented by Innovation Salzburg and the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce, the award highlights innovative companies. From 16 February to 15 March, all Salzburg-based businesses may submit applications whose projects have already been successfully implemented on the market.
Submissions will be evaluated by a distinguished expert jury from business and academia based on degree of innovation, strength of implementation, and future potential. The award winners will be nominated as Salzburg’s representatives for the Austrian State Prize for Innovation. The award complements the WIKARUS – Salzburg Business Award, which will be presented biennially in the future, thereby ensuring continuous visibility for Salzburg’s innovations at the national level. “We want not only to drive innovation forward, but also to give it a stage,” says Walter Haas, Managing Director of Innovation Salzburg.
Submitting an application for the Innovation Award does not exclude submission for the WIKARUS.
