Excellence in digital science and interdisciplinary technologies
New technologies such as artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, big data, cloud computing, etc. are increasingly permeating all aspects of life and are of great significance for societal and economic transformation processes. In the Salzburg Science and Innovation Strategy WISS2025, information and communication technologies are considered core competencies with high development potential for the region.
In 2022, the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) established the new Faculty of Digital and Analytical Sciences (DAS). The EXDIGIT project aims to establish this newly founded faculty as an interdisciplinary research platform with critical mass and international visibility in the aforementioned digital topics.
