According to the European Commission, the built environment is responsible for at least 40% of human-made greenhouse gas emissions. In the Alpine region, the key challenge lies in efficiently utilizing local resources, uniformly implementing EU regulations, and establishing common standards throughout the entire construction value chain. The BAUHALPS project addresses these demands by developing and testing a model that combines the principles of the New European Bauhaus with sustainability criteria. With the support of local communities, BAUHALPS brings together ecological, aesthetic, and cultural aspects, thereby setting new impulses for the Alpine construction sector.
